My 'before holiday' Haul!

Hi there everyone! I know it's been a while, and I forgot to tell you guys why there hasn't been a blog post! So I did a little haul before I went on holiday to Bournemouth for a week, and have spent the rest of the time celebrating summer break with my friends. Now I'm spending some time with you guys!..

So the first items I got are some tops, which were all on sale cheaply at primark ranging from £3-£6, these will be worn even after my holiday, (there are also 2 vest tops which I forgot to include in the picture oops) The blue short sleeved t-shirt has in big letters SMILE with a girl holding a camera; which I thought would bright up anyone's day. (Also the superheroes t-shirt is one of my secret obsessions!) I did take more clothes, but these are the recent things that I brought.
The next things that I got were my absolute necessary products for summer, these included the Vo5 Heat protectant spray, The simple refreshing face wash, which is so gentle! The sure bright deodorant and some more St Ives scrub which I'd ran out of! The scrub was £2.86, The deodorant was 3 for £5 because my mom bought in bulk, The vo5 heat protectant was £3.69 and the Simple face wash was £3.25. So overall it came to around £12, which was an OK price for my favourite products of the month.
The next thing I got was out of Asda's 'George' they are some gorgeous sandals; and they are a pretty neutral colour with 3 bows and a strap that goes behind the back of your foot. These were £10 and I used them a lot on holiday almost everywhere.
Okay so the last thing I treated myself to were some face masks from Montagne Jeunesse I have tried some of these before, and decided to try them again for £0.99p each. I thought it was pretty handy to take sachets of things instead of big bulky tubes like I have at home. (Now I've used them, I'm glad I took a picture of the packaging before I went, because they were amazing!) Who doesn't love peeling off a face mask?!
So hopefully guys now I'm back off holiday the posts will be up and running again without any problems/delays.
Have a good Sunday everybody! x

Blogging Tips& Advice!

Why hello there!
If your reading this, your either a loyal reader (which I thank you greatly for) or you just simply want to start a blog and need some tips, in which case I am going to help you out! (FYI: I know my blog isn't exactly the most popular, but some people might find this post helpful and in which case it's all worth it for me.

Tip 1: The most important tip is to be unique this will attract more viewers to your blog if you aren't posting the same as everybody else, and have different opinions and tastes. Remember, being original is boring!! :)

Tip 2: Decide what your basing your blog on, reviews, a journal? Anything you like... just make sure that it's something you love otherwise you will get tired of it really quick.

Tip 3: Pick a website your going to use, this can be (if you have the money) buying your own url, or just choosing a free and easy to use site like blogspot (blogger) or wordpress! Either are easy to use when you get used to using them.

Tip 4: Struggling on what to call your blog? Try to think of a short or catchy name, that's special to you, and hasn't been used before. That way, people will remember your blog easier and it won't be a mouthful!

Tip 5: Write what you want to write about. Don't write about a certain makeup brand just because someone else does, it will get boring. Do what you want to do :)

Tip 6: Have a simple layout for your blog. This means from the tabs to the font, people need to be able to get around your blog easily, and especially read your posts with ease and not struggle to read your swirly font; so don't go overboard with the simple things.

So that's it for todays post guys, check back soon for more!
Stay Classy x

nice'n'easy hair dye SB1 'Natural light summer blonde'

Hi everyone! How are you all? I've been very ill these past few days, so I thought I'd leave to active haul posts until later on; so today's review is going to be on a nice n easy hair dye, and my advice for this review is, it might look a nice colour on the box, but that is not how it turns out in real life.

I was expecting this dye to make my hair go the nice blonde that it was when I was younger. But I didn't realise that to get the blonde that I wanted I would have to bleach and use toner on my beautiful thick hair. Immediately after dyeing I realised I really didn't want to keep bleaching it, and waited about 3 days until dyeing again. This wasn't so bad apart from the swatch test that they tell you to do, didn't react with me...But when the dye was on my head it burned like hell, and I had boils/sores all over my scalp. I was really upset, and probably cried for hours because it hurt so much.

However I had to get it dyed again a.s.a.p so I decided to go a shade up from my natural dark blonde hair and just go for the dark blonde hair dye from the Garnier Olia range, (that didn't irritate my scalp!)

I didn't have a very good experience with this hair dye at all, and after dyeing the only thing I was impressed with was the tiny tube of conditioner that comes with the hair dye and how soft it made my hair. That was all.... considering my hair length I had to purchase 2 boxes which came to £8 and I brought them from Asda.

Good Points:

  1. The conditioner that is included is very good quality for replenishing hair.
  2. Cheap enough price (2 for £8 at asda)
  3. Easy and simple application
Bad points:
  1. I did the swatch test, waited 48 hours and STILL got a reaction.
  2. Really strong ammonia smell... Made me go a tad dizzy!
  3. For longer hair, you will definitely need more than 1 box!
  4. The obvious one, turned my hair orange/yellow.
I guess all I can say about these dye's is that I will never be purchasing again, and that I regret purchasing them in the first place. I know a lot of people that have also had reactions, and did a swatch test; which in my opinion takes the purpose of the swatch test away!

So that's it guys, it wasn't exactly a positive review but I hope that if your young and are considering colouring your hair ( if you haven't before, or want to try these hair dyes ) please have a really big think about it beforehand or buy a semi-permanent!! Also make sure you don't have any events coming up, so that you have enough time to fix it. Or just be sensible and go to the salon!

Be safe everyone x
(Disclaimer: This product I brought myself with my own money. Therefore these opinions are my own and I am not being paid to do this review.)

10 Beauty Tricks & Tips

Hi everyone!! I hope your weekend has been great and you've all been up to lots of fun things, This post is a little late; because it wouldn't let me post it a couple of hours ago due to an error, so anyhow have fun reading... I hope you find these tips and tricks helpful in some way or another!

  • Tip 1: A beauty necessary for when you don't have time to wash your hair and your in a hurry... products like Batiste are good at hiding this, and come in a range of scents and types to suit your hair colour, etc.
  • Tip 2: Sick of pesty blackheads? Nose strips not working? try getting yourself a pimple/blackhead remover tool. These are cheap, but have to be used correctly and with great caution. This kind of product has helped me a lot personally.
  • Tip 3: Split-ends can be easily masked and prevented by changing the way you shampoo, brushing your hair more gently and the obvious using heat less often. Hair will also seem more healthy if oil is used and will help to protect if you do use heat.
  • Tip 4: Make sure when using eyeshadow, that it suits the shade of your eyes, for e.g: Green eyes it will look nicer if you have purple on your eyes more than nude shades would.
  • Tip 5: Using a highlighter can make your face look fuller and more lifted.
  • Tip 6: Sleeping on your back at night can avoid wrinkles because of gravity.
  • Tip 7: For flawless skin, try to exfoliate at least 1-2 a week to buff away dead skin cells, so new skin cells can come through. The trick is to exfoliate gently and not to harsh that you irritate the layers of skin underneath.
  • Tip 8: A dab of Vaseline on the heel of your foot can stop shoes from rubbing/irritating, especially new flats!
  • Tip 9: Never brush curls out with a brush. Instead, loosen them with your fingers. This will give curls added lift without flattening them down with the added touch of hairspray of course.
  • Tip 10: If you have naturally greasy hair, don't apply the conditioner to the roots, just the ends to make your roots last as long as they can.

So that's all of the tips I have for you guys today, have a great week!

Mini e.l.f Haul&Review

Hi there! I hope your all well and enjoying your week, yay its Friday! For today's post I'll be doing a mini e.l.f haul & review on some things that I ordered a few weeks ago... E.L.F is a cheap affordable good quality make-up brand that sells a lot of items that are perfect for people on a budget, or if your just getting into makeup and don't want to spend a lot of money.

> You can purchase these products here: http://eyeslipsface.co.uk/
(Disclaimer: These products I brought myself with my own money. Therefore these opinions are my own and I am not being paid to do this review.)

E.l.f professional total face brush: This brush I got because I grew tired of using sponges to put on my powder, and I finally decided to use a brush again for my powder... but I didn't know which one to chose. So I shopped around and heard good reviews about the e.l.f brushes, and I can confirm with you guys that they are really good quality for money, I paid £1.95 for this brush, which is extremely low compared to some high end brushes these days. It came in a plastic see-through pouch and I can say that no hairs have came out of the brush since I brought it, even when washing with baby shampoo every week.

E.l.f professional blending eye brush: Okay, so before about 2 years ago I never used to blend eye shadows with a blending brush, I just used a fluffy regular eyeshadow brush without even thinking, but after purchasing this I think I understand the concept of why every girl in the planet needs one! This brush is handy, and does a great job at smudging out colours to make them less 'harsh' I paid £1.95 for this brush too, and it was worth every penny. They all, like this one are so soft and keep their good quality finish.

- I did buy more brushes, but have not yet been able to try them out fully to give a review, so that will come later. I brought an eye-shadow brush and a bronzing brush too. -

2 Hypershine lip glosses: On the website these looked full of colour and really interesting. They both have a twist applicator, and come in a range of interesting colours. The two that I picked up, the first one being a nude colour (bottom) was called Bare, and the top one being a baby pink is called Flirt. They are both really nice colours, and smell delicious! Apart from the fact that I would rather not twist and apply, I can't be fussy for £1.95.

E.l.f shimmer eye-liner pencil (It is like a bronzy brown, but it doesn't say on the packaging!) These eyelieners are really creamy and have great colour, but they wear down really quick for £1.95, but they also have a sharpener on the end which makes it 10x easier to sharpen in a hurry.

E.l.f eyelid primer: As the last product in my haul, this was the thing that I was disappointed about, the primer is dry and doesn't make eyeshadows last as I thought it would, It comes in different colours all at the same price of £1.95 but I just got the regular one in 'Sheer' out of all of the products that I brought from e.l.f this is the only thing I would not re-purchase.

So thats it guys, if you've tried these products what do you think? Would you not repurchase any of them?
Enjoy your weekend!

TAG: 8 most worn items!

Hi everyone, and we're back with another Tag! I decided to do the 8 most worn things TAG because I thought it would be fun to actually see what I do wear more often.

These are the 8 questions:

1) Most worn lip gloss/ lipstick: My most worn lipstick I think has to be the MUA Lipstick in shade 4, a neutral pink, which I wear even on days if I don't want to make that much of an effort.

2) Most worn earrings: I don't think I have an exact pair of earrings that I wear all the time, but I would say that my most worn pair are from Peacocks, which came in a pack with 2 other pairs :) They are silver bows!

3) Most worn top/ shirt: My most worn top I think is probably just my black thin strap tank top, which I put under most other tops if they need layering.

4) Most worn nail polish: This has to be MUA's pistachio ice cream, its a perfect shade all year round, and at a cheap price of £1, they're the same quality as Essie, but not as much money!

5) Most worn shoes: These are either my sandals which are a light brown from Primark with sequins, which go with any outfit, or my good old trust black and white sneakers/trainers, which are so comfy and easy to slip on if your in a hurry.

6) Most worn necklace: This has to be gold necklace that my mom bought me when I was 13, Its gold and has a heart crystal

7) Most worn perfume/lotion: My most worn perfume has to be Giorgio Armani Diamonds in 'rose' which I currently re-purchased, and I am on my 3rd bottle of! And my most worn lotion has to be The Garnier Intensive 7 days Cocoa Lotion for dry rough skin.

8) Most worn handbag/purse: My most worn handbag is a KANGOL leather black long strap, and it was brought for my birthday last year by my wonderful brother, it has plenty of space and I use it almost everywhere I go for carrying all of my essentials!

So now you know my 8 most worn things, what are yours?
Thankyou all for reading, and stay classy!

HUGE MUA Haul

So were back with another review! This time the review is based on a cheap affordable makeup brand that is located here: http://www.muastore.co.uk/ except I got all of these products from my local Superdrug. All together I got 14 products which ranged from £1 to £4! (Some of these products are re-purchases)
(Disclaimer: These products I brought myself with my own money. Therefore these opinions are my own and I am not being paid to do this review.) So lets get into it!

First off I got two palettes for £4 each which the Heaven and Earth one was a re-purchase because I love it sooo much! (The brown neutrals) and I picked up another one because it looked interesting and caught my eye straight away! It's a bunch of fun colours, and as you can tell from the palette name 'Glitter Ball' they have a hint of shimmer/glitter!

I did swatches of all the colours so that you could see individually how unique they all are! They don't have separate names like e.g. The naked palettes but the colours in the picture are in order from left to right > and I can always say that if you haven't tried the MUA palettes you definitely should! They are so pigmented and I love the Heaven and earth palette for soft smoky eyes to create a natural look perfect for every day use.

I haven't yet created a look with the Glitter ball palette but I'll be interested to see what I can put together. The purple shade on the 2nd row at the far right you can buy as an individual shadow too, but for £3 cheaper. Just £1 pound! The colours are really pigmented and these photos I only had one swipe of the colour to create it. I feel that if you layered them, the silver and copper colour would work perfectly.
This one was too £4.

The next 3 products were Glitter Eye-liner's which I've heard about before to have really good colour, when trying them out, they stayed put and didn't smudge after drying which was great, but the silver one looked like it had been used 10000 times because it was more watery than the others, and the pink one didn't show up that much when on the eye, my favourite has to be the gold (shade 4)
The pink - shade 6
The silver - shade 1
But I can't complain that much, they were all at a really low price of £1 each!

The next 2 eye-shadow based things that I bought were the MUA eye-shadow trio's at just £2.50 each, the left one is beautiful pinky neutral colours called 'Pink Sorbet' and the right is perfect for a smoky eye look, called 'Innocence'
These aren't as pigmented as the palettes, but are build-able and good quality to work with. The packaging isn't exactly millionaire, but it fits the product perfectly.

MUA pressed powder (shade 2) was a repurchase. Its not too powdery and covers up my blemishes fine when I don't want to wear anything too heavy.

Eyebrow pencil In Blonde: This was recommended to me by my good friend Chelsea who has used it for a while, & I can see why, the pencil is creamy, long lasting and with a brow gel even longer, These are at a bargain price of £1.

Blusher shade 1 (left) shade 2 (right)
This was definitely my most exciting purchase as I wanted to see if these blushers lived up to the hype, Being kind of powdery, they do give off good colour, the only thing I didn't like was the packaging, but beggars can't be choosers at just £1!

The last 2 products were 2 individually eye shadows I picked up (left: pearl eyeshadow shade 4) This shade was in the palette Glitter ball and is a very pretty lilac, and is amazingly pigmented for the £1 price tag. The right colour is also a pearl eyeshadow, and is shade 12, and It looks like a metallic silver, except in the light it has a green-ish interesting shimmer to it, and can be blended in to make a smooth colour or a dark one.

So that's it for today guys, Have a good week!

Garnier Ultimate Blends Nourishing Shampoo&Conditioner

Hi everyone!

So for today's review I decided to do a product from Garnier that I've been loving recently, As some of you might know from my previous post I have been dyeing my hair a lot lately, (reviews on different dye's coming up later this month) and it really does take a lot out of your hair, so on a mission to try and get it back to its normal healthiness I wanted to try out these new products from Garnier, which were on special at Asda for £2 each for the 400ml bottles. They also do other versions too, but this one for dry damaged hair has suited me perfectly. I think there is one for coloured hair, but I have a separate conditioner to keep my colour locked in tight!

The Nourishing Repairer version claims to "Leave hair feeling intensely nourished from root to tip, and will leave hair super soft yet non-greasy." I can honestly say that I've used this product 3 times since buying it, and not a lot looks like it has been used, I can tell that my hair feels softer and it certainly makes my hair look healthier somehow, which is all that a girl could ask for!? You can also get a mask treatment, which I imagine is gorgeous!
To apply this product I wet my hair first and then apply a generous amount of the shampoo into the palm of my hand and then onto my hair, I lather for about 3 minutes and then wash out with luke warm water, When it comes to the conditioner, I like to drain all of the water possible from my hair before applying so that the conditioner isn't watered down and can work to its full potential. I leave on for about 5-10 minutes before washing off. (Concentrating mostly on the ends of my hair because that's where I need it most.)

Therefore I can definitely tell that the condition of my hair has improved, and the only disadvantage I have to say about these products are the difficulty to open the lid, Its really hard to open and when I first opened it, it really hurt my fingers... Maybe it will loosen over time?
Anyhow I would give these two products a 6.5/10 because they are nourishing, and very kind to the hair (and smell wonderful!) but they aren't the best that I have ever tried... but I would re-purchase as a 'kind to pocket' alternative option.

You can find them at different stores now for these prices:
ASDA - £2 each bottle. £4 total for both. (400ml)
SUPERDRUG- £3.89 for each bottle. £7.78 for both. (400ml)
TESCO- *On special* £1.94 for each bottle. £3.88 for both. (400ml)
(Disclaimer: These products I brought myself with my own money. Therefore these opinions are my own and I am not being paid to do this review.)

Overall guys I hope this review has helped you in anyway, feel free to leave a comment, and if you do... have you tried these products? What did you think? Did they work for you?

Herbal Essences - Beautiful Ends Products Review

Hi Guys!

So today I decided to do a review on two products from the Herbal Essences range that I've been absolutely loving at the moment. These products have been favourites of mine for a long time and over the past couple of weeks I've started using these old favourites again because I've dyed my hair a lot recently which damages your hair a LOT (especially the ends!) and bad dye job which means dyeing it 2 times in the same week... anyhow lets get on to reviewing the products!
(Disclaimer: These products I brought myself with my own money. Therefore these opinions are my own and I am not being paid to do this review.)

Herbal Essences Beautiful Ends- Protective Hair Balm 150 ml
This product tells you to lavish it through the ends of your hair and leave in to protect the ends of your hair all day long; I use this product on my towel dried hair for when I'm letting it naturally dry and sometimes If I use the hair-dryer I use it before I dry it to help protect from the blow-drying. (To be extra safe I still use my usual heat protectant for extra re-assurance. The consistency of the product is quite thick and is more of a white colour compared to the hair mask in the same range which is a light pink colour. The Balm smells absolutely amazing, it makes me feel 10x happier putting a nice smelling product on my hair that I can still smell even when its dry for many hours afterwards. Even though it's nice smelling and a gorgeous consistency, it makes your hair quite sticky if you use too much! Overall I would recommend this to a friend, and you should be happy using this as long as you don't apply too much...

Herbal Essences Beautiful Ends- Split End Protection Intensive Mask 200 ml
Out of the two products that I tried this has to be my favourite. It has similar qualities to the protective hair balm except this product is in my opinion more conditioning, and if you leave it in for as long as I do (around half an hour) your hair should be 1000x more softer and look more calm when you rinse it off; (It helps to tame my frizzies!) The product tells you to apply from root to tip and the recommended time to leave in is 5 minutes, if my hair isn't that dry at the roots I usually just apply to the ends as I have naturally greasy hair and I like to leave it as long as possible before washing again. However the recommended how many times you should use it a week is 1, but I usually use it around 2-3 times a week to really treat my hair especially after stressful days.
The consistency is quite thick
Thanks for reading everyone, If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me, and again if you have tried these products, what did you think? Would you recommend them to your friends?

Mark Hill 'All you'll ever need!' Mini Collection&Bag

Hi Everyone!

Today I'm going to do a review of this cute little set of Mark Hill hair products that were kindly given to me as a gift by one of my best friends shortly after my exams ended! So I have had time to use the products and make a review on them briefly but detailed with experience!
So the first thing that you notice when picking the bag up, is that the bag isn't that big but is small and compact and everything you would want all in one! (I am currently using it for college as a make-up bag because I love it so much...) However there was also a dry shampoo in there, but because it was so small I used all of it within 2 uses! (It was 50 ml also)

All you'll ever need! - Everyday Shampoo&Conditioner 50 ml:
My first impressions on this small shampoo is the packaging; it's very girly and sometimes the packaging makes it more exciting to use. Initially I was going to save these until I went somewhere like a sleepover with one of my friends, or just somewhere travelling so I wouldn't have to take full sized products with me, but the smell of all of them especially the shampoo made my senses soar and I just gave in and tried it! I didn't notice that much of a difference using these instead of my normal Shampoo and Conditioner but they didn't dry my hair out and made it smell so nice. Even though it didn't do wonders, these would come in handy for travelling if you want a cheap shampoo and conditioner in small sizes. (Sorry the picture is blurry, my kind camera decided to play up with the focus!!)

All you'll ever need! - Fabulous Finish Hairspray 50 ml:
"My Lightweight micro-fine spray provides a firm lasting hold yet still allows hair to move naturally." -Mark Hill

This hairspray is super cute, and when I tried it I couldn't help but notice how lightweight, non-sticky and the floral fragrance smell! This product was tested out to the max when I used it out one night and it held my naturally thick half up curly hair-do for 7 hours without a problem. It has to be one of the best hairsprays that I've tried... and if I can find the big version in stores I will definitely be purchasing, but other than that the small size is perfect for handbags and taking on the go for a quick light spritz!

Quick Fix Dry Shampoo - 50 ml:
This dry shampoo unfortunately didn't meet up to my expectations like the other products did, all though I don't have a picture, it didn't last that long on my 2nd day hair! It was almost like my scalp was soaking it up like a sponge, and although the scent was nice it didn't really act as good as my regular go-to Batiste dry shampoos... I don't think I will re-purchase.

The last product in this review is the mini compact mirror that comes with the set. I instantly fell in love when I saw it had leopard print all over it, and inside it has 2 mirrors, a regular and a zoomed one (which is an added bonus!) There's not much you can write about mirrors, apart from its cute packaging which attracts you to it.

After trying out these products I will be interested to try out the different Mark Hill products and definitely purchase the Hairspray in full size. If any of you have tried out these products, what did you think? I would love to hear from you!
